Upgraded CDI+ ignition for Porsche 911

Our biggest product is Electrocooler: a lightweight and super efficient 12v electric air-conditioning system. The first application is a complete custom kit for discrete installation in classic Porsche 911 models to 1989. Our Porsche 911 system comes in both LHD and RHD versions. The system was extensively tested in climate controlled heat cells and proven to match or beat cabin temperatures generated by modern road car A/C systems. It consists of cutting-edge components, all controlled by our bespoke and revolutionary ECU.

This is our recommended replacement for the original Bosch Black CDI ignition coil.  It has been matched to the other parts of the ignition system to provide reliable service. Unlike 'normal' coils, this ignition coil is designed for the fast rise time of capacitive discharge ignition (CDI) systems. It is the perfect partner for the Classic Retrofit CDI+ system.

This unit easily meets the specification of the original coils and the quality of construction is far better than that of the current Brazilian-made Bosch Silver coils.

Electrocooler Compressor and ECU module. This module allows car builders to put A/C in a 12V vehicle where an engine-driven compressor cannot easily be fitted, or to benefit from lower weight and no loss of engine power. Rear- and mid- engined vehicles might also benefit from the alterations to weight and weight distribution when the compressor is mounted at the front of the vehicle - which has the added benefit of significantly reducing the hose lengths. A complete Classic Retrofit electric A/C system typically weighs less than 15 kilograms. The compressor module and ECU weighs around 6 kilograms.

Our new fresh air blower assembly for classic Porsche 911 models is designed to replace the ancient and noisy original fresh air blower. As with all Classic Retrofit products, it fits straight into the car without modification, using the original electrical plug and Bowden cable work. It is true plug and play.

Internally, the blower unit uses a modern double-cage fan which can move more air than the original. The real game changer is that it incorporates a modern parallel flow evaporator. This allows a 911 with our A/C to get rid of the clunky separate A/C blower in the smuggler's box (LHD) or behind the passenger footboard (RHD). Two blowers are integrated into one modern unit, saving weight and space.

Porsche 911 High Output 150A Alternator

This is Classic Retrofit's upgraded high-output alternator for classic Porsche 911s.  

Tested at over 145A amps on the standard 911 pulley and belt and with a simple installation process, this UK-manufactured upgrade is the highest output alternator available for your classic Porsche 911.  The idle output is in excess of 75A!

This is a brand new unit, not reconditioned and there is no core charge or exchange.  Based on the Denso 6 phase 'hairpin' alternator, the casing has been custom designed to fit all 911 fan housing from 1965 to 1989.  The alternator offers superior efficiency and produces less heat than the original units.

This is not a 'rewound' Bosch or Valeo unit.
