We had a special guest drop by Classic Retrofit HQ recently: Mike Brewer, the well-known presenter of Wheeler Dealers. Mike has big plans for his beloved Porsche 964 Turbo, and we’re excited to be part of the journey.
After reducing his car collection to focus on the one vehicle that truly speaks to him, he’s turned his attention to this iconic Porsche model. It’s currently being built and assembled by Carbone in Poland, with meticulous care and attention to detail. As part of this extensive build, Mike has set his sights on addressing one of the 964’s most well-known weak spots—its air conditioning system.
That’s where Classic Retrofit comes in. Mike visited us to explore how our electric A/C system could provide the modern comfort and reliability that his classic 964 Turbo deserves. Our A/C system, specifically designed for Porsche 964 and 993 models, is a seamless upgrade that integrates without compromising the car’s originality or performance. During his visit, we walked Mike through the full build and upgrade process of our A/C ‘suitcase’. We took the time to show how our system integrates effortlessly into the 964, maintaining the car’s authenticity while significantly improving comfort. We demonstrated how the electric A/C kit is efficient and easy for anyone looking to improve their Porsche’s drivability, no matter the climate. Mike’s enthusiasm was contagious, and he was keen to see every detail of how our products work.
Mike also got an exclusive look at some of the exciting projects we have in development, including a sneak peek at our upcoming heat system for the 911. It was a great opportunity for him to see how we’re constantly pushing the boundaries of modern upgrades for classic cars, ensuring they stay on the road while offering modern comforts.
