We've just left the UK en route to Germany for the 2020 Stuttgart Retro Classics, after a big rush to get products ready for clients exhibiting at the Geneva Motor Show. This time of year is always a busy one and finding the time to add complicated last-minute projects to the workload has not been easy, but we're delighted to help put the finishing touches on high-end client builds. We're looking forward to seeing some photos.
Another Classic Retrofit customer build we were delighted to see in print this month was the Workshop Seventy7/Oshe Design 911 RSR, featured on the cover of 911 & Porsche World magazine. Based on a 1970 Porsche 911E, the car had been modified down through the years and came to the builders in Weedon, Northamptonshire, with Turbo rear arches and a 993 engine. The car had a makeover in metal at RS Fabrications in Towcester before heading for paint in a custom Volkswagen/Porsche mix at Normandale in Daventry.
The build features many wonderful touches, including G50 transmission, KW dampers on 993 multi-link rear suspension, 8.5 and 10-inch Braid wheels over four-pot brakes, Cobra seats trimmed in Tobacco leather with orange accents and so much more. It's a great example of what can be achieved when a builder applies some creative vision to a base car bought with some sought-after bits. Hats off to the guys for the build and the well-deserved coverage.
